Vorstellung: The Empty Chair
Am 22. November 2022 durften die 6. und 7. Klassen (unter anderem wir) ein Theaterstück namens "The Empty Chair", welches auf Englisch vorgetragen wurde, in der Aula sehen.
Es handelte von einem Jungen namens Robbie uns seiner Mutter, welche zusammenleben und bei denen jeder Tag ähnlich verläuft. In ihrer Wohnung gibt es einen leeren Stuhl - an empty chair -, auf welchen sich laut Robbie absolut niemand setzen darf, da es der Stuhl seines Vaters war. Wo Robbies Vater allerdings ist, erfahren wir als Zuschauer nicht. Es wird aber angedeutet, dass er nicht zurückkommen wird. Er hat die Familie wohl einfach verlassen.
Eines Nachts wird Robbie von einem merkwürdigen Lärm aufgeweckt und sieht, wie ein Raumschiff plötzlich in seinem Garten landet. Am Tag darauf klingelt ein fremder Mann bei Robbie und seiner Mutter. Er wird vorübergehend bei der Familie bleiben. Die Mutter scheint sehr froh über den Gast, da sie bereits länger keinen Partner hatte. Im Gegensatz dazu ist Robbie überhaupt nicht froh über den Gast, da er denkt, der Mann sei unnormal, nahezu außerirdisch. Außerdem möchte Robbie nicht, dass seine Mutter seinen Vater einfach ersetzt.
Die Zeit vergeht und der Mann - Jared - bleibt bei Robbie und dessen Mutter. Robbies Mutter hat inzwischen auch gemerkt, dass der Jared kein normaler Mann ist - er kann nämlich fliegen!
Eines Nachts wird Robbie erneut von dem merkwürdigen Lärm aufgeweckt und sieht, wie dasselbe Raumschiff wiederum in ihrem Garten landet. Daraus steigt ein Alien aus, das Jared zurück zu seinem Heimatplaneten bringen möchte. Jared entscheidet sich dagegen und sagt, seine Familie und sein Zuhause seien nun hier auf der Erde. Das Raumschiff fliegt schließlich ohne Jared weiter und dieser geht ins Haus zu Robbie zurück. In dieser Nacht darf zum ersten Mal jemand anderes auf dem leeren Stuhl sitzen als Robbies (biologischer) Vater und dieser Jemand ist Jared.

Vorstellung: The Picture of Dorian Gray
The play "The Picture Of Dorian Gray“ which was presented by the White Horse Theatre in our school was thrilling and kept us captivated. The actors showed the story of Dorian with a lot of emotions and especially the way the actor of Dorian created a connection between Dorian and the painting was impressive. Even though the play was displayed in advanced English the acting skills and stage design made it easy to follow and comprehend. We can recommend seeing a presentation of the White Horse Theatre and would love to see them again at our school with another play.
